Whether you are a resident or a tourist renting a car, understanding the UAE Road Tolls is vital. Dubai and Abu Dhabi operate separate systems: Salik and Darb.

Wait! Can I use Nol card?

No. Salik and Darb are completely separate from the Nol card system. You cannot pay road tolls using your Nol balance. You must have a dedicated Salik tag and a Darb account.

    Salik (Dubai Toll System)

Salik is Dubai\'s automated toll system. It works via a physical sticker (Tag) placed on your car\'s windshield.

    Cost per gate

    4.00 AED

Charges are deducted automatically as you pass under a Salik gate.

    Account Recharge

    50 AED min

Top up via the Salik App, RTA website, or recharge cards at gas stations.

    Darb (Abu Dhabi Toll System)

Darb is Abu Dhabi\'s toll system. Unlike Salik, it does not require a sticker. It uses license plate recognition camera technology.
